Spiritual Ceramics, a Presentation by Teaching Artist, Dawn Malosh

With the unification of the four sacred elements, air, water, fire and earth, ceramic creations have served as powerful spiritual tools for transcendence, focus, protection, grounding, cleansing, healing, luck and health for people throughout history and across cultures of the world. Presenter Dawn Malosh, a spiritual ceramicist, teaching artist and eclectic spiritual practitioner, will share her knowledge on aspects of the fascinating history of ceramic works as spiritual tools. She will also focus the various spiritual and metaphysical uses for her specific art forms, sacred ceramic bells and pottery.

In this fascinating workshop, Dawn will help participants determine what type of bell, pot or other ceramic work might help them in their spiritual journey as well as how to use them in spiritual practice. She will demonstrate spiritual practices with ceramic bells, pots and other works such as grounding, cleansing, connecting techniques, meditation, healing, dowsing and more. Lastly, Dawn will share an array of fascinating and entertaining stories relating to her bells, magic and the amazing power behind intent and spiritually charged ceramics.

Teaching Artist, Dawn Malosh’s Background/Bio:

Teaching Artist, Dawn Malosh is a seasoned teacher and Spiritual Ceramicist who lives on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland. As an established educator, she has taught thousands of students from a wide variety of artistic levels, ages and backgrounds. She has taught art workshops at numerous educational institutions throughout the country, including Evergreen Cove Center for Spiritual Living and The Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland, Tualatin Hills Nature Center in Portland, Oregon, Adkins Arboretum in Ridgely, Maryland, Saguaro National Park and the University of Arizona, Biosphere 2, in Tucson, Arizona and Wallops Island, NASA, Virginia. Dawn’s unique spiritual ceramic bells and pots have been featured in number of galleries, shops and fairs throughout country and are collected all over the world. Presently, Dawn serves as art department faculty at the renowned liberal-arts based private school, The Key School in Annapolis, Maryland. Dawn manifests a variety of one-of-a-kind bells, face pots and other original ceramic artworks in her studio which is located in the stately old historic bank on Main Street in the bucolic town of Preston, Maryland.
