Niaouli is a relative of the tea tree plant and shares its broad range of practical uses. It has a slightly sweet, fresh, musky and medicinal aroma. Naiouli is more gentle, less drying and softer in scent then tea tree making it an excellent option for many people with sensitive skin. Niaouli is a great alternative to tea tree essential oil as it has many similar properties. It is a powerful antiseptic, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic and great immune stimulant. It is good for the respiratory system and helpful for allergies.

Niaouli paired with lavender can help protect and heal the skin from radiation burns during radiation therapies. It is great for burns, cuts and bug bites when applied to the skin. It is considered non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing making is safe for use with diverse populations Niaouli is used in Veriditas Botanicals signature line of wellness formulas in the Acne Treatment, Athlete’s Foot and Eczema Treatment. In these formulas it acts to fight fungi, virus and bacteria and calm the skin. Added to water it makes an effective antiseptic wash for minor cuts and skin irritation. It is great for opening the sinuses and improving focus. The essential oil is immune stimulating and increases circulation to the area it’s applied. When added to salt scrubs, dry brush or massage oils it helps fight off illness. For a simple immune boosting treatment simply apply a few drops spread on the skin moments before jumping into the shower. Niaouli has a medicinal scent which is not suitable for most perfumes, however, it is ideal for antiseptic, acne and upper respiratory blends. Niaouli is a common tree found in Australia. It has a soft bark and pink heart wood with deep penetrating roots. It produces fragrant flowers and even the leaves themselves are anti-bacterial. The leaves have been used to help disinfect water and as an antibiotic for rheumatism, respiratory fevers and other ills. Niaouli is rich in the oxide 1,8 cineole and alcohols. 1,8 cineole is also found in Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Ravintsara and many other essential oils with that specific cooling minty scent.

IMMUNITY TREATMENT Dry brushing and salt scrubs are amazing for improving the health of the skin. It removes dead skin cells and stimulates flexibility and improved detoxification of the skin and underlying tissues. It also has power benefits for the lymphatic system which is a circulatory system in the body which is responsible for our immunity. Combining dry brushing or salt or sugar scrubs with essential oils enhances the benefits. 10 drops Naiouli (MQV) 10 drops Ravintsara 10 drops Eucalyptus radiata Apply several drops of this mixture onto the dry brush then dry brush head to toe for immunity, respiratory health and beautiful skin.

ACNE TREATMENT WITH NAIOULI Dilute 1-3 drops Niaouli into a small amount of Witch Hazel and apply directly to the acne with a q-tip. Repeat this 3 times a day.
